I’ve been thinking a lot about how much easier painting becomes when the colours are planned early on.

This sketch is a good example of that — keeping the palette simple, deciding where the warm and cool areas sit, and letting that do most of the work.

It’s something I’ve been refining more recently, especially in buildings like this where it’s easy to overcomplicate things.
